Just purchased Access 2003 in order to build a databse that will enable me to manage my self-catering cottages here in the UK. the key requirements are to track "prospects" who ask for information, turn these into customer bookings and track payment details.

Just wondering if anyone had already designed a solution that I could use as a template ?

try this guy:
www.databaseanswers.com
he's got a library of datamodels in there, and may have
one for you, but this assumes you are familiar with the
database design stages.

If there's not one there, send him a mail and he might be
kind enough to help out!

You also might try 'google' for Access templates - I don't think you can get those particular db's but you might find something useful. btw, I got the book like six months ago and I really like the format and content and layout much better than some of the other Access books I have. I'd have to rank it as number 1 (easiest to read, most useful) in my collection. Check it out at a bookstore before you buy it if you can - it may not suit you.

I haven't managed to find anything on google.
Would you be willing to email the 2 database that you mention below, if I provided you with my email address?

Take a look here:
http://www.databaseanswers.com/data_models/index.htm

There is a model for apartment rentals.

other way of getting hold of the databases?are two db's included on the disc. One is for room reservations and the
other is for tracking clients/sales. I think that you should analyze both
