I had and used llist for some time, but I had to re-format my HD and
lost it. Now I can't seem to find it anywhere on the web.
Does anyone know where I can get that program or some other usable,
small, simple, free db program? I have four or five databases, in dbf3
format.
Thanks for any help.

Thanks to those who replied. I don't know why my message appeared three
times; it's my incompetence in sending, I suppose.

Where can dbv.exe be found?

If you use OpenOffice you can read db files in its spreadsheet calc, or
use its proper db, called base.

You'll find openoffice at www.openoffice.org

that's why I posted the link; I don't have any problems with this link in 2
browsers. It's in the database section.
If you have problems with this link the most important other programs are :

ftp://ftp.sac.sk/pub/sac/utiltext/dbfview.zip
ftp://ftp.sac.sk/pub/sac/utiltext/vfpvw32.zip
ftp://mirrors.aol.com/pub/simtelnet/msdos/clipper/clut-2_7a.zip

For the descriptions see the main link ;-).

The dbv.exe link given yields dbv123, which seems to be shareware.

huh?? Maybe there are two programs with the same tasks and versions? You
never know.

DBV-DBF View, Version 1.23 06-Apr-94
Simple viewer/editor for dBASE-compatible .DBF files. Switch between record
and browse modes. Does single-field, scan-across searches. Editing of
fields enabled by command-line switch. May be used to search a directory
for .DBF files regardless of filename extension (/F2). Freeware.

I couldn't download dbv123 myself to see if it is an other software product
( no responce from the site ).
You can download dbv123.zip (44K) from

http://mysteryfcm.plus.com/Chris/abs for acf/dbv123.zip
