Hi,

My XP database with around 35000 records, 7MB size, keeps getting corrupted
for no apparent reason. Happened 3 times in the last two weeks.

On opening, it says Needs to be repaired or isnt a database file. No change
on repairing the file.

What could be causing this to happen? The same file is being accessed by
others on network, where some systems used Access 2000.

Thanks
Ramesh

Chances are either you need to split the MDB or you need to set the
OpLocks settings. There could be many other causes though.

For more information on corruption including possible causes,
determining the offending PC, retrieving your data, links, official MS
KB articles and a list of vendors who state they can fix corruption
