Does anyone know of a Windows utility to transfer files
from one computer to another via cable. The computer
with the files (the old computer with Windows 98) has a
floppy drive and no CD burner, the other computer (the
new computer with Windows XP) does not have a floppy
drive. I am not interested in transferring settings.
Thank-you.

Take a look at the Files and Settings Transfer wizard, a great Windows XP
feature. My old computer also had a floppy drive and no CD burner. I used a
direct cable connection from my old computer to the new one, and it worked
beautifully.

Thanks, Mike. I'll give it a try. I tried e-mailing you
at the address you gave, but the message came back to me
with a problem.

My email address is intentionally fake. You should consider using a fake
