data table construction

i tried to understand the concept of data table by means of the example given
in the help function but i was not able to construct it . i took up the same
example of mortgage payment that is given in the help function.

i m able to calculate the pmt and i get $672.68 ,but i am not able to
construct the data table from here.

please clarify my doubt with regards to these two points:

1.Selecting the range of cells that contains formulas and values to
substitute and
2.Typing the cell reference for the input cell.
