Data Source of EMAIL NAMES in OUTLOOK

When I type the name of a new recipient into a new email Outlook presents me
with close choices of the name before I finish typing. I can choose to hard
return to select the name.

This is fine apart from that I have collected on one address 5 variations of
an identical email name for an address that is not used and this stops me
from sending easily to the correct address.

I have searched the address book and discover that NONE of my email names
stored in OUTLOOK appear to be there.

If I can find the data source of these email names, I could clean the data.

When the list shows up use the arrow keys to highlight the name and press
DELETE.

Dear Virtual,

The data isn't stored in a contact folder, a fact that probably hasn't
escaped you. It is stored in a file called an NK2 file or autocomplete
file. Roady's advice for deleting one entry here and there is correct.
If you have many entries to correct, you can purchase a third party utility
written by us. Also, if you write to me at (e-mail address removed)-imaging.com I can
send you a document that I have prepared regarding this file. Searching for
outlook nk2 or outlook autocomplete should also provide you with additional
information regarding this file.

Randy

Thank you kindly.
Sometimes one's frustation blinds the obvious.
