PC Inspector
http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/UK/welcome.htm
is closer to 4MB and from their website:

To be able to use PC INSPECTOR™ File Recovery 3.x you need a working
WINDOWS™ System. Never install the current version on the drive from
which you intend to recover data! The software must be installed and run
on a second, independent drive.

Bob, I don't know if this is the specific software you're referring
to, but the link you gave is also 3MB :/

Yes, it's 1.3mb, fits on a FDD. Perfect for file recovery. That way you
don't risk writing on the disk from which you need to recover files.

OT: If your download manager only downloads a "small" EXE file, the
contents of the file may actually only be a redirect to the site for
the actual 3MB file.

All I know is the file I have. It's called "Filerecovery.exe", and is
1.297mb.

Thanks Bob.
It appears we're looking at different versions, or entirely
different software.
(Though by different authors, the files might saved under the same
"filerecovery" name
I have since found a 1.297mb (1328128) 'filerecovery.exe' file at
http://www.4sages.com/ which "appears" to be PC INSPECTOR 3.0. I
don't as yet know why the file sizes are different :\
Cheers,
