Data is not appearing in my textbox

Hi there,
I just hope somebody could help me with this.

I have a button to select a file to be loaded, once selected the name is
copied to a textbox but it is no appearing, I mean, the name is assigned to
the textbox but all I can see is the empty space. I know the value is there
because I can use it in the next step.

The same is happening with some comboboxes where I select the value but hey
do not appear.

Can someone help me?

Are these controls in the Form Header or Footer section of a form where the
Detail section has gone completely blank?
