Hi all.

I'm fast becoming very fed up with the standard .net datagrid. I rely on
grids a great deal, the .net grid is a pain to work with and very difficult
to customise.

Has anyone used any 3rd party grids? Can anyonw suggest an 'easy to use'
grid?

Cheers,
Tull.

What type of stuff is the standard grid not doing that you need? What
way is the standard one 'hard to use'?

infragistics the best of the best, but very expensive....
janusys gridex, a good one, more cheaper...

To be honest it's things that used to be so simple using the old flex grid,
like colouring cells and text. Rather than adding a couple of lines to
check values and re-colour a row, I know have to write an entire class
structure just to achieve this. As I tend to work with many grids in an
application this overhead is too large.

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Tull.

I'm with you on that.

I'm using devexpress xtragrid, it's certainly a lot harder
to use than the flexgrid by a long way but out of the three
or four I downloaded I got to grips with this one quickest
and has so far allowed me to do what I want.

I wouldn't say it's 'easy to use' right away though but then
non of them were.
