Recently a users PC died and I am trying to salvage his
data, I got the hard drive to get recognized on another
computer but can not find any data files for Outlook 2000
for him, I did something similar on another pc and it
recovered all the emails and contacts by copying a data
file. This time I can not locate the file, can anyone
help me ?

Look for .pst file(s). If you are using windows 2000 or xp, enable
searching hidden and system folders.

right now I am running it on a Win 98 machine, I did

suggestion ?

Outlook stores its data in a file called Outlook.pst by default. If your
search didn't turn up that file, you need to adjust your search options to
include system and hidden folders.
