I have installed SP2 for XP PRO. All has worked well
until one day I tried to run a Synch for my palm from the
signon screen. Now everytime I login I get the following
message,

"Data Exectuion Prevention-Microsoft Windows

To help protect your computer, Windows has closed this
program.

Name: WMI
Publisher: Microsoft Corporation"

Nortan AV is updated and auto Windows update is set to on.

I now get errors when trying to run my Handspring desktop
saying that the database can not be opened. It seems XP
has shut something down that the Handspring desktop needs.

How can I fix this?

Thanks,
Rob

Rob,

Right click My Computer, choose Properties, click the Advanced tab.
Click the Data Execution tab. Put a mark in the box next to
" Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select "
Click the Add button and then specify the software that is being
blocked from running. Click Apply, then OK to make the setting stick.
