As the subject states. For instance, in this email I have
typed 5 or 6 words before they appear on the screen.
Also any site with a lot of sectioned info, Like my
American Express page take forever to scroll down.
Another example was it ook me 15 minutes to navigate
listing an item on ebay becuase it took so long for the
page to update the fields. It also appears to be
cumaltive, as I have been writing this post the text
appears 15 seconds after I write it and only after I stop
typing. My computer as had few minor viruse caught in
typical McCaffee scans. It is currently free of viruses
according to scans by Mcaffee, Spyblocker and Microtrend
online. McCaffee had me delete 2 files it could not
clean, windows/system/tgcgged.dll and
windows/system/kgnqqir.... This seemed to happen around
the time I downloaded a windows update and Explorer 6.
That could be a coincidence. Any help would be
appreciated.

Mick,
There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite)

First, from IE> Tools> Internet Options> Accessibility, is User Style Sheet
checked? If you don't deliberately use a style sheet, note the name of the
sheet and uncheck it. You can find and delete the sheet if you wish.

CWShredder is a specialized tool which removes CoolWebSearch variants. The
existence of a style sheet would indicate DataNotary, a CWS variant.

Next:
Download, install, *update* and run these two programs:
Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
Spybot from http://security.kolla.de/ (Remove items listed in red- others
are optional.)
