Data CD won't open on XP

Hello,

I have data cds burned on older ME system.
New system came with XP.

It won't open the cds.

Help!

Thanks, Greg. I saved your response.
I did go looksee the links. There'd be a learning curve for some of that for
me, to be sure.

On one cd, I managed to snag a pertinent file since posting.
On another, it started ok, and then the gremlin raised its head again.
Got the one that I needed most before the shenanigans started up.
