HELP! I keep trying to open a file and get the following
error: fqgold.exe is not a valid Win32 application. This
has been happening to some other programs I tried
downloading also. What have I done and how can I fix it?!

It sounds like you downloaded some rubbish from the Internet.
Use the Find function (Start / Search) to locate fqgold.exe, then
delete it. Furthermore you should run a copy of msconfig.exe
from http://www.svrops.com/svrops/dwnldoth.htm and use it
to examine all your startup task. Disable those that look
suspicious.

Lastly, think about your download habits. If you download
and run everything that looks interesting then it's like you
picking up everything from the gutter that looks like a sandwich.
There is a lot of garbage out there - don't touch it!

Thats a perfect solution.
