I have recently started having problems with my (currently) file server,
which runs Small Business Server 2003. I'll power it on and wait for it to
boot to the login screen, and then after mabey an hour, it will shut itself
off. Not into sleep mode or anything like that, it's actually powered off.
When i look at the Event logs i see that my personal computer, running Win XP
Pro, is trying to take control of the domain. It's setup to be in workgroup
mode on the Network Settings and i never told it to take control of anything
but it's local resource. Also, on my father's desktop I have found the same
event. Is there any way of telling my PC to stop this or finding out what it
is that's installed onto it that wants to have this control?

If any other information is needed please ask and I'll try to get it to you.
Thanks for helping.

This problem seams to be moving from computer to computer
this is from my computer's event log.
Each computer on the network seams to have a different computer trying to
take my network over and my file server still won't stay powered. Also, the
server has an event log that states something along the lines of "there can
be only 1 domain master and unless this error if fixed this computer shall be
shut down after 60 minutes", or something like that. I'll see if i can get
the log for that one next times i have it powered.

Once again thanks for your help.
