Hi

I have Windows XP installed on my PC. A couple of days after I added a
second HDD to the system, I got a message during startup that one of my
partitions needs to be checked for consistency. It then went through a
recovery of some of my directories. After the boot was complete, I noticed
that some of my installation files (for example the installation file to
update my graphics driver) now appears as a DOS program and not Windows. When
attemting to run this file, I get the DOS window that says that there is not
enough memory to run this program. I must also ntoe that it is not all the
files that has been effected, just some of them,

PC Configuration: P4 2.8GHz, 512Mb RAM and 280Gb HDD.

Any comments/suggestions would greatly appreciated.

Reinstall one of the faults applications. If this helps, reinstall all
of them. Also reinstall Windows as described here: "How to Perform an
In-Place Upgrade (Reinstallation) of Windows XP"
