I was checking to see if anyone has this mobo. If so, do you have problems
with the onboard video?

What problem do you have? The Intel graphics are just fine
for anything but extreme gaming. Have you downloaded and
installed the latest drivers from Intel?

For some reason, I have narrowed the problem to be a video issue. Things
tended to go weird when I set the display setting to 1024x768 when I got a
new LCD. When I booted up, everything would come on except the display. After
continual booting up, nothing would happen.

Then after leaving it alone for a given period of time, it decided to come
back on. I thought it was a power supply issue, but I replaced with a brand
new Antec 430W True Power.

I booted it up, still ran across the same problems.

I’ve noticed it boots up if I leave it alone for a given period of time,
definitely boots up after leaving alone overnight. I updated all drivers and
brought the resolution to 800x600 and still the same problem.

I am tempted to buy a video card to see if this would eliminate the problem.
What do you think?

What is the default resolution of the LCD display? Set it
to match.

What size is the LCD? Most 17" inch will be 1024x768 or
higher. If the LCD (monitor) is not properly identified, XP
will default to 800x600, which will work on a CRT. But an
LCD has a finite number of pixels and that is where it must
be run. Look at the specs for the LCD and set that number.
You should download and install the inf file for the LCD so
that the graphics will "know" what to set. Unless you
bought the LCD from a car trunk at mid-night, you should
have gotten documentation.

Did you install the monitor drivers?

Have a nice one...

I have not downloaded the firmware or LCD drivers because I am unable to
locate them. The manufacturer is ADVUEU and it’s 17â€. I do know it’s my
computer (D865GBF) that’s the problem because my old HP works fine with this
unit.

Yesterday in the morning my computer booted up with the display working. I
worked with my machine on all day. Then I decided to restart my machine later
on at night …. The display shut off at restart and never came back on, but my
machine was still on with my fans still running.

I’m lost ….
