D Drive

I have a ton of files on D Drive, did a clean install on C Drive only. The D
Drive keeps telling me to format the D Drive. I can't open D Drive at all.
How can I open it to retreive these files.

What are you trying to open the D: drive with? How is it described in Drive
Management? (right click on My Computer and choose Manage, then Drive
Management)

Sounds like you will need some data recovery software

Better yet, tell us exactly what 'clean install' might mean. Did you use
a restore cd. Need more info.
