d: drive

when i got to device manager and look for my driver it is not in the list of
drives it is at the bottom under unknown?

when i go to d: properties the recording tab is there! but under the
hardware tab where my drive is listed there is a blank space under the type
heading?

i would be most grateful if anyone could help me as im getting slightly
twisted?

burning cd's
 
This article might help. If not you'll have to give us something more to go
on such as Device Manager error codes, some history, and Event Viewer
errors.

Go to device manager and remove (uninstall) the offending drive.. then
reboot your computer and see if Windows installs it correctly..

Note: telling us what kind of drive it is would help. D: means nothing; it
could be anything (another partition, another hard drive, a removable drive,
a CDROM, etc). Follow Dave's advice re device manager.
