cyclic redundancy check

I made a presentation that worked fine. Then I made changes to a few slides,
nothing major, and now when I put the talk on a cd and then try to copy it
onto the harddrive of a computer, it won't let me and I get an error mention
that mentions a "cyclic redundancy check" error. I have tried returning some
of the slides to their original format and can't get it to work. I leave in
an hour for the place where I give the talk so I hope someone can give me the
answer.

A CRC check error means that Windows isn't able to copy the file from the CD to
the HDD for some reason. Or rather that it's able to copy it at least in part
but the data that lands on the HDD doesn't match what's on the CD.

If possible burn a new CD (use CD burning software; never save directly from PPT
to a CD).

If all you have is the CD, check it for dirt (also check the lens of the CD
reader for same). Power down the computer, wait a few minutes, power it up and
try again.

Wishing you VERY good luck,
