The set of sheets I am working with contain a range that is filled in a
the month proceeds. We use it to keep track of materials on a dail
basis.
The sheet keeps a running total of materials used so we can mak
invoices for our suppliers. Most the sheets we use have 200+ row
keeping track of the materials and 30 to 31 rows keeping track of th
date the material was used.
We have a reoccurring problem when any of the cells are cut to
different day (i.e. the quantities were entered into the incorrect da
and are cut to the correct column). The formula on the linked shee
amends the formula automatically and cuts the range from summing al
columns to summing were we pasted to the end of the range. Thi
problem happens especially when the information is cut out of the firs
column to be summed and pasted elsewhere.
The sheets and workbook are protected with the only unlocked cell
being those that have daily inputs.
If only a few users were using the sheets, this would not be a problem
but the sheets (saved as templates) have been distributed to 40+ users
Not everyone is aware of this problem so the sheets often hav
inaccurate totals on the month's materials. Additionally, because th
sheets were password protected, the individual users are not authorize
(mainly because they wouldn’t' know how) to change the formula back t
the correct range.
All users access these workbooks with Excel 2000.
