Cut and paste changes colors - PowerPoint 2002 / Visio 2000 issue

When cutting and pasting a colorful drawing from Visio to PowerPoint,
many of the colors are changing. How does one prevent this from
happening?
 
There are various blocks of various colors - too many to list. But the
colors they are changing to are consistent. Is there a bug of this
type between Visio & PPT? Are there color translation issues between
the two programs????

Thinking out loud here ... when you add an MSGraph item to a PPT presentation,
some parts of the graph take on the colors in the PPT color scheme.

I wonder if something similar's going on. Have a look at the PPT color scheme
and see if any of the Visio colors are consistently mapping to the PPT scheme
colors.

Ah, and also verify that your computer's video is set to something over 256
colors.
