This may be a repost, and if so, sorry -- my Outlook Express tells me it was
sent, but I can't find it here.

XP Pro

When I open Windows Explorer, I of course get a list down the left-hand side
of folders. It defaults to an open list of My Documents, which is fine. I
have a second (internal) hard drive, which contains certain folders that I
work with regularly. What I'd like is for the list of folders in "My
Documents" to contain a shortcut to those folders.

If I create a shortcut, though, it won't list itself on the left-hand
side -- it only appears in the right-hand part of the screen.

Is there anyway to have it shown on the left?

Thanks.

Could I upon you to repost your first post responding to my first post? I
just can't find it *anywhere*. I can't even find *my* first post.

Thanks so much for putting up with my ineptness! :-)

No worries Ken.

Here was my answer:
What you could do is mount this second harddrive as a folder under My
Documents. Check out this page for details on doing this -
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/...Windows/XP/all/reskit/en-us/prkc_fil_dwwu.asp.

Another option would be to redirect your My Documents folder to this second
harddrive. You can do this by opening the property page for My Documents,
going to the 'Target' tab sheet and entering in the new location in the
'Target folder location' edit box. Check out this page for more details on
My Documents and how to redirect it -
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;310746.
