Customize Outlook today

I have XP and Outlook 98

I am having problems with customizing "outlook today" I press on the
options tag but nothing happens. Any suggestions?

thanks for the links. However, the links were applied to OL2000 not OL98.

If I can get any additional help, I would appreciate it.
