If you simply want to restrict the apps they can access,
create a profile for them - either individually or just 1
for them all. You have to first create a new user, assign
it to the admininstrator group, then logon with that user
and customize the profile the way you want them to have it
(delete any groups or icons that you don't want them to
have). Now change the group that user belongs to from
administrator to "user" or even "guest" and they will be
restricted from many functions in Windows. you can look
further in the Online help or www. technet.com (use the
knowlege base to search under XP) or even www.google.com
for further help.

Easy way is to go to \Documents and Settings\(KIDACCOUNT)\Start Menu and
edit what programs are in there. You may also want to check the all users
account start menu settings as that users start menu is visible on
everybodys start menu

See www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Windows XP Security Console. In
addition to a large number of computer settings, you can restrict
applications on a per user basis, with the licensed version.
