How can I set my formatting bar to only show my personal styles and not the
default styles?
Can I save a template using these styles? And will the formatting bar remain
with my styles or revert to the default?
Can I set the formatting bar to only use my preset 'image' bullets?

For the first question, click on View on the menu bar and select Task
Pane. Click on the down arrow beside the close button on the task pane and
select Styles and Formatting. On the Show: button below, click on Available
Formatting and this will show you the styles that you are using instead of
all the styles.

For the second question, yes you can save the styles in a template. You
can open a new template and repeat the steps above. Then you can personalize
the styles by modifying the current styles. You can also add new styles such
as the "image" bullet on your third question. Click on the New Style button
and customize it. You can name the style, choose the image of your bullet,
and customize the style to your desire.

What version of Word do you have? What you ask is possible in Word 2002 and
2003.
