Custom views return error

The custom views don't work on one of my spreadsheets.
When I bring up a custom view that was previously set it
says "Some view settings could not be applied".

Any ideas?
 
If the worksheet is protected, setting such as hidden columns can't be
applied. You could use a macro to unprotect, apply the view, and reprotect.
