Custom View Very Slow

I have created custom views to take a 52 column report and show only 15-20
columns at a time. It takes up to 2 minutes to switch views. This seems
rather slow and not very usable in a live meeting. Any suggestions on
speeding this up?

I tried grouping but since some of the same columns are used in multiple
views I could not get grouping to work the same.
 
Is it possible that there are many formulas in this data? If so getting rid
of them may speed it up
