custom IE toolbar buttons

How do I get a button onto my IE toolbar? There's few buttons that made
their way onto the toolbar without my assistance (i.e., a poker site, and
yahoo messenger). I don't mind these buttons, and I know how to remove them.
However, I'd like to put a few more custom buttons up there...how do I do
it?

oh my god....this looks pretty technical - I was hoping there was a way to
simply drag the icon onto the toolbar! heh heh...not that easy. Thanks
anyway, appreciated!
 
Yes, it is a little daunting but it is not as bad as it looks.
Someone may know of a third party program if you supply details of
what you want.
