I am doing a server replacement that currently uses M instead of C as
the main boot drive. I am trying to mimic this on the new server
install with Windows Server 2003 and am having no luck getting the OS
to use anything other than C upon install. The reason behind the custom
drive letter is that there have been many VB programs written that are
running on the server which reference the M drive. I have tried using
the disk partitioning tool on the install disk, to create mini
partitions until i got to the drive letter that i wanted and then going
back and deleting the other partitions leaving only the M drive but
then Windows tells me "this disk does not contain a windows compatible
partition". So any help or insight would be appreciated. I am just
trying to avoid having to change the programs that have been written.
Thanks.
