CurrentProject.Connection fails.

When I use the code:

Set con = Application.CurrentProject.Connection

I get the error:

Method 'Connection' of object '_CurrentProject' failed.

This has never happened to me before and doesn't happen on
other computers using the same version of Access (2000)
with the same database file. I've tried reinstalling
Access but that doesn't seem to help the situation. Is
there a setting in Windows somewhere or even in Access
that I have changed that is causing this? Does anyone
know how I can get around this problem?
