Cumulative Security Update for IE (824145)

When I try to install this update all seems OK until the
PC reboots. I then get the message:

windows could not upgrade the file %1 from %2
%1 : %2

This repeats six times then:

windows could not upgrade one or more system files
windows may not start properly
press any key to continue

Pressing a key starts windows OK but the upgrade isn't
applied.

Any idea what's wrong??

Was your anti-virus disabled?
If not, disable it and try again.
 
Hi Frank,

Thanks for this. I disabled my anti virus (Trend PC-
cillin) and my firewall (ZoneAlarm) but the same thing
happened. Not sure what else might be causing it.
