Ctrl+ click issue

when I Ctrl+A to select a entire group of files within a folder, then
Ctrl+click on a specific file to deselet it from the selected group - it
deselects the entire group.

any thoughts?

Might check you mouse controls, see if Left click is really left click

That would be a right click, don't know about your mouse settings but
I must have 25 different actions I can put on my left button.

I mentioned nothing in the terms that you should not be posting to other ngs'
in the way you sarcastically put forth. I mentioned with an explanation to you

for your detailed thoughts

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand what my response suggests,
try your mouse on a different machine and/or another mouse on your machine to
either rule it out or verify it as the problem.

If that verifies the mouse to be in working order check the keyboard for a
stuck key and swap it out to either rule it out or verify it as the problem.
