CTRL+ALT+DEL doesn't respond...urgent help please!!!

hi all
i have a good pc that i bought 9 months before,and i made all latest hardware/software updates...i'm using XP pro and win2000 pro with all updates done..
but i have a problem since 3 days...in both operating systems "ctrl+alt+del" is not responding....i thought that it migt be a kind of virus...i formatted my pc,i installed only XP,i tried to use "ctrl+alt+del" before to install updates and after..but result is same....it never responds..

does anyone have any idea/suggestion/advice??? if u have please help me..
