crystal reports is a popular
module and feature added into
other programs. so it would
be best to look for answers
from the main program that
has included crystal reports as
a module.
however, if we look at this
issue like any other regular
software that is being uncooperative,
you might want to clean the registry from
orphaned registry keys that are providing
the erroneous status.
there are numerous utilities
buy i think that a basic one
called "Eusing Free Registry Cleaner"
can do the job.
afterwards, you can
make another attempt.
a word of caution,
before running the cleaner
be sure to make a system restore point.
also if you are not using Symantec
products/software, then you
may also run a similar tool like:
http://onecare.live.com/site/en-US/article/registry_cleaner_why.htm
however, like all programs that have
their uniquely engineered, the above
two cleaners have been designed differently
and have a different criterion as to what makes a registry
database file precise. i have used both
without any issues and both have proven
to be beneficial.
if the registry cleaners proved
useful, then this may be
indicative that there are
issues with maintaining the
computer that are being overlooked
then you may want to include something
similar to the below into your computer budget as
an insurance that can protect your computer
and data:
