cryptographic service

I just tried to upgrade my dad's computer to XP SP-1 both from the MS CD and
from the web. The installations failed because cryptographic services
apparently were not turned on. I went to the administrative services and
found crypotgraphic service to be "started". I looked at the dependencies
and found the one program on which it depends to also be started.

Any suggestions?

Hi

Your Cryptographic Service is most likely running fine, renaming or deleting
the Catroot2 folder is most likely what you need to do to solve the problem.
