I get the message when trying to do the patch from
microsoft. Does anyone know how to fix this problem.

THis is the one that FINALLY worked for me. Saw it from
nicholas this morning, and thought i would try it
although skeptical. and it WORKED
not only do i have the security patch, but i have service
pack 1 and can FINALLY get into secure websites in IE and
into my MSN start page. i haven't been able to do that
since december 1992.
hurray and THANK YOU nicholas.
6. Start/Run
Type "cmd" ENTER
Type "net stop cryptsvc" ENTER.
Type "net start cryptsvc" ENTER.
Type "regsvr32 softpub.dll" ENTER.
Type "regsvr32 wintrust.dll" ENTER.
Type "regsvr32 initpki.dll" ENTER.
Type "regsvr32 dssenh.dll" ENTER.
Type "regsvr32 rsaenh.dll" ENTER.
Type "regsvr32 cryptdlg.dll" ENTER.
Close the box and install the patch.
