Cryptographic Problem

I have tried to install the service pack for windows XP,
and other related updates, and nothing will install as I
get an error message that states it can not check
Update.inf and that to check to see if Cryptographic is
turned on. I have followed all suggestions in this
newsgroup, but nothing seems to work. ANy suggestions ?

Try microsoft.public.windowsxp.configuration_manage or microsoft.public.windowsxp.general
