crowded recycle bin

my recycle bin contains a bunch of folders that just
appeared and won't disappear. everytime i try to empty it
an error message pops up and everytime i try to restore
the item the same error message pops up. has anyone ever
heard of this?

Are you sure you're not looking at a folder called "Recycler" (which, I
believe, is a hidden system folder used by the OS to temporarily store
deleted files). I can't seem to get it to show on my system but I know
I've seen it under certain circumstances. Anyway, if that's the case then
ignore those folders.

If this isn't your situation (and you are in fact looking at the Recycle
Bin) then maybe there are files that are locked in there. I don't know how
it happens but I've managed that before. Try shutting down and restarting
the computer.
