Crossword solving freeware?

Is there anything that lets you do wildcard searches like:
q??ck

Oops - I can't finish the above sentence with a question mark - else it
would be confusing!

Hi Chris,
I have CrossGuesser on my pc, that does exactly what you want.
It is/was a PC Magazine software (it was free when I downloaded it), then I
don't know if it is legitimate to get it from other sites.
Anyway I googled for it and I've found a working download here:

Be patient with this long page. The donload link is the last, at the very
bottom. The zip is 1.3 MB.

Yes. Tried now and doesn't work on XP.
A lot of Message Errors.

Thanks - got it - very good indeed. Runs on both ME and XP.

Thanks for confirmation - BTW that other program CrossGuesser is
wonderful - and does even more than I was looking for!
