I am pretty new at using excel and I am hoping someone can help me wit
a problem.

I want to write a reference in a cell to certain "DATA" that is i
a different cell on a different worksheet...So that when the reference
data is moved (because I've resorted a different way or whatever) th
reference to it is updated and points to that data's new cell, not th
old cell that now contains different data.

I've tried to find the answer on my own, but the only thing I ca
find is making references like =MasterList!A4 which does half of what
want, but when i resort my MasterList it messes up all of my smalle
lists, that reference cells in MasterList

Hi
cell references are always linked to the cell and not the content. If
you have a row of data with a unique identifier in one column you could
use VLOOKUP
