Critical Update 823980

This update has been downloaded successfully, but
critical updates on my computer in my task bar is still
showing I need this update? It shows installed in my
add/remove programs. The site also shows it downloaded
successfully twice.

Do I still need this patch everyone is talking about?
Is it different from this update?
