Critical error #22

I have recently had some sort of virus in my computer and now when I try to start up Diablo II, it keeps closing down saying there is a critical error 22
If anyone knows how to fix this and or get around it I would be greatful

Since you didn't give any information about the virus, it isn't possible
to know if the virus damaged files. If the computer is working
perfectly except for Diablo II, back up your save games and other
important user data and reinstall the game. If that doesn't help,
please repost and let us know what happened.
