creepin' slow bootups

I am also having very very slow bootups. it doesnt take
10 minutes, but 3-4 minutes is not uncommon. any
thoughts?

In folder options, uncheck automatically search for network folders and
printers. There is another setting for adding previously viewed network
folders to my network places, somewhere I cannot recall. These delay
startup even in SP1, but seem to be much more problematic in SP2. Make
sure that the computer browser service is running on each XP network
computer, and TCP/IP is the only protocol in the network setup, NetBIOS
over TCP/IP is checked. You can also remove all entries from my network
places and use the entire network to access files on network computers.
