Credit Card Transactions

When I attempt to make a credit card transaction from a web page the subsequent response is a web page with that aggravating "page cannot be displayed" message. (I checked my credit card balance and it is good.) This problem also occurs when we try to access e-mail (MSN) and log in to some sites as a registered user. I followed the instructions under the "page cannot be displayed" message to adjust the security settings by checking SSL2.0, SSL3.0, TLS1.0, and PCT1.0. (I couldn't find a line for PCT1.0.) It didn't work. I also tried to reduce the security level to the lowest setting with no success. I also went into the registry editor and changed the value of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CONTROL/Windows CSD key to 0. This approach was suggested somewhere on the Microsoft technical support page. I impressed myself by executing such a technical solution. However, it did not work

I am not a melodramatic person but this problem is frustrating me to point of suicide. To make matters worse, my wife cannot access her e-mail. If someone can help me find a solution, I will be grateful enough to clean your toilets with my tongue or change the oil in all the cars of your vehicle fleet or take a bullet for you or pay the balance of your mortgage

Thanks

Kurt

Hi Kurt, hope this helps.

In Internet Explorer -
1. Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
2. Scroll down to the Security Settings.
3. Make sure that the two boxes are checked that say
"Enable SSL 2" or "Enable SSL 3".
Try your secure sites.

Another thing you can try is:
Go to start/run
Type in: regsvr32 softpub.dll

Thanks Kaylene. Your second suggestion worked. How many toilets and cars do
you have?
