When creating an Index in Word 2002, can you copy text into the Subentry box without having to type it new
I’ve tried using Ctrl+V, but when I click on the Subentry box, the Main entry box automatically changes too. And when I copy text into the Subentry box first, then click on the Main entry box, the Subentry text is automatically deleted. Any suggestions anyone

If I have something I want to re-use, I usually work directly with the XE fields. You should be able to copy/paste these with no problems. If you don't see them, turn on the display of hidden characters (Tools/Options/View)
