creating email account in windowsmail

i know my user and pass-word details are correct but keep being told they
are wrong any ideas please.

Are you entering your username without any spaces or CAPITAL LETTERS?
Have you tried it with the username both followed and not followed with the
part of your email address starting with @? Are you sure you're using
CAPITAL
and lowercase letters in the right places in your password? Some email
servers
are picky about details like these.

Also, Windows Mail often forgets the password if you click on Apply after
putting the check mark before Remember password, as you usually do after
changes.
