Aaargh!!

I'm going crazy here! Sorry but I've tried everything I could think of
and more but I can't seem to do something which seems so simple!

Here is what I want to do, write/input a bunch of addresses and have
them be placed on the page so that I can just put in a label/sticky
page in the printer and print the whole thing in one go. Then to peel
each label and affix to the envelope!

Also I would want to do the same but with one address (repeated a few
times) -- this is kinda related to the first.

Any help would be appreciated very much as I am at my wits end!

Thanks guys! :(

For just one sheet of labels one time, click New Document in the labels
dialog to get a sheet of labels. They're set up as a table so make sure you
have table gridlines displayed (Table | Show Gridlines) so you can see the
label boundaries. For more than one sheet of labels or to create labels from
a data source that will change over time, you want to use a mail merge.

Thanks for the reply Suzanne, but when I followed your instructions I
saw a grid outline for only four labels (or boxes). And it was all in
one column, like this:

X
X
X
X

However, label sheets obviously have this layout:

XXXXX
XXXXX
XXXXX
XXXXX

Correct?

So what am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance! :)

If that is the case, then you obviously have the wrong sort of label
selected. You must click the Options... button in the Labels dialog and
select the appropriate label definition. For example, if you're using Avery
Standard labels (the Word default), scroll through the list and select the
appropriate stock number. If you're using some other brand of label, select
that brand first, then find the labels.

I want to create a data base that I can print a mailing address directly to the envelope. What if any program will allow this. most contacts are in MS outlook but I can not find how to multi select mailing addresses.

That'll be a lesson to you to make your URLs very general!

This page has wider application than Outlook 2000. I would change the page
name, but then the search engines would lose it :(

Create a duplicate page with a new name, and leave the old one in
place...

I could do this, but I don't think it is a major issue at the moment. When I
get time, I will go through my page names and put redirects on those where
there is a potential for confusion. Thanks!
