Creating an 'Explore-like' collapsible table in Word

I work with a lot of tables within Word XP.
One of the tables I use the most involves hierarchical listings. These tables can be several pages long but would be easier to view, review, amend, cut & paste, etc if I could collapse and open them like the directory structure used in the 'explore' function.
I have looked at the threads within this discussion group about Userforms and templates but I can't see anything I can use.

one of my colleagues has suggested an OLE methodology of some sort but searching for this takes me to a developers page which is not my forte.

I hope someone can help.

There are no features built in to Word for what you want. Outline view has
some resemblance, but I doubt it would serve.

It's a nice thought, but really, it's not what a word-processing app is
designed for. There are ActiveX controls you could drop onto an HTML page
that will do it .... the HHCTRL control for example, although that's
probably a bit dated by now.
