I have read some about using "SYSPREP" to remove the SID from the image, but
no clear step-by-step isnstructions.

And if the XP is not "Volume Lisence" how is that handled when creating a
standard image that will be on 20 computers with different CD keys, other
than using a "Key finder" utility and changing each after blasting the images?

Thanks in advance!

SYSPREP is for system builders. It gives them a way to build multiple
systems without having to install unique copies of Windows on every
machine.
